I'm struggling to find a way to dynamically add static text or HTML etc between two paragraphs on a post or page or template where the content of those user-facing pages follow the same format, like, say, card type description pages where a certain type format like /card/casino/ has a bunch of static text shared across the different pages of the card type and I need to be able to change that one piece of "dynamic" text easily that's inserted between the static content.
Because I have two sites set up different ways, where one is an older site that has each page/post defined with its own manually-added slug that a user has to go in and edit manually, and a newer site that uses one page/post as a "template" of static content that I need a dynamic snippet added to.
I'm not sure I'm describing this well, I'm sorry.
We've tried to figure this out through the interface but I'm having a dev (who doesn't use WordPress much) try to figure out a function or two to have either happen. So like:
- After the 3rd paragraph, have the text/HTML snippet added in a way that saves across all related post content.
- Have the text/HTML snippet after the 3rd paragraph dynamically but only when the page is loaded (so the PHP will do it upon page run rather than it being saved to content).
I've found several potential solutions online but I'm not sure I'm recognizing them as such (and our code may be outdated and need improving), but I'd trust suggested "best solutions" offered here now over old blog posts.
This post is extremely vague so it’s hard to know how to help. Perhaps something like Ad Inserter plugin would do the job? It lets you insert code into posts after X paragraphs.
If your developer writes code, this sounds fairly trivial to do, so. I’m wondering what exactly is the problem here? If you don’t write code, this is near impossible to do. No non-code interface exists that would make it “easy”.
