I created a site for my friend’s company using wordpress. Forgive me if some of this is irrelevant but my process was creating the project in local. I created a custom theme and I’m using VSC to code. I did most things from scratch. I have a few CPTs, custom blocks to render forms to create them and then there’s a simple frontend to display the info. I started off hellbent on using Gutenberg but I don’t think I really did? I’m not using the classic editor. I can say that much.
So the site is almost done except I haven’t touched SEO or any security for the site. Based off what I read in here on a post, I am thinking about using Rank Math and maybe Sucuri Security or Wordfence?

Noob questions:
What would be the best free (at least to start) options for SEO and security?
What would be the best hosting?Is there anything else I should consider?

I have some coding experience but I was completely in over my head with this since WP was so new to me. Any advice on finishing this project up and handing it over to my friend’s company would be greatly appreciated!
edit: I guess I should also ask, considering this is a good friend and his company is doing well, he insists on paying me something which makes me uncomfortable. How much would you all charge a friend for a site like this?
