OceanWP – Can’t get demo to install properly

Hi – I’ve been wrestling with what should be a fairly simple task – just getting an OceanWP demo site to install and display correctly – for a couple of hours now. It’s a WP installation on my mate’s Linux box.

After the first failure I went googling and upped the memory cap to 1GB, and upped the upload cap too.

I have tried installing the architect one – it just hangs at the “Installing XML data” stage.

I tried the boxer/training one too – same thing.

I have reinstalled WP completely, and just now used the WP reset plugin.

Tearing my hair out a bit here, and about to probably go check out GeneratePress instead of OceanWP – but OceanWP seems to be fairly popular on here.

Any comments or pointers before I abandon OceanWP?
