Hello Stan,
Thanks for reaching out about your image preview in Telegram. Since Telegram uses the Open Graph protocol as Facebook, I ran the URL through the Facebook sharing debugger and the image preview works. Your page has the necessary tags needed, though the og:image in your page source is 600x600px.
Using this tool (though Telegram is not mentioned), there is a recommendation – The recommended image ratio for an og:image is 1.91:1. The optimal size would be 1200 x 630. I couldn’t find official documentation regarding appropriate Telegram image sizes. So you can try the following:
- Play around with the image size and see if that fixes your issue.
- It may be a cache issue. Clear the cache from your theme, plugins, server, or CDN like CloudFlare or browser. If you are not sure how to clear the cache from the theme/plugin, please speak to those authors. If you want to clear the cache from the server, please speak to your web hosting provider. To clear the cache from a browser, use this guide: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/
- If you have security plugins like iThemes, Sucuri or WordFence, check that they’re not blocking Telegram from fetching images.
Hi, Maybelline. I`ve resolved the issue. The telegram needs canonical URL for correct work. Thanks a lot for your help.
