We do provide you with the folder protection feature to protect whole directories at once without changing file URLs.
Only authorized users, e.g. logged-in users, can access your protected images.

the images are uploaded to a custom folder. I am using the free/lite version and need to protect a folder within. Guess that doesn’t work with the lite version. If I’m understanding, the plugin only works for individual files unless you buy an add on?

Thank you for getting back to us. Yes, that is correct, the lite version only protects individual files.
To protect a folder, you will need our PDA Gold plugin and Access Restriction add-on.
