Renewal of promoted adds: retaining paid features without additional charge

I am using the Regular Pricing on my site and have noticed an issue I’d like to address. When enabling the renew option for adds, if a promoted add expires and is renewed, it retains its paid features without charging the customer again.I wouldn’t mind if the adds were renewed without the paid features, meaning as a free add. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could consider one of the following solutions:

1. When a previously promoted add is renewed, it should be renewed as a free add without the paid features.
2. When renewing a promoted add, the user should be redirected to the payment option to promote the add again, in case they wish to keep the highlighted features.

The current issue is that users can pay to highlight their adds for a limited time, and upon renewal, it continues to be highlighted without any additional cost.
