Suggested mapping theme / plug in please

Have a friend who is convalescing from very serious illness, and is making most of life taking short breaks around the UK whenever possible

Recording these travels reaffirms her status as a living breathing person and she chose a .earth domain for this reason

Want to help build a very simple site which visually displays a UK map with flags / placeholders for each destination.. features I had in mind :

1. pics taken on location
2. a little bit of text about the trip
3. audio recordings taken on location
4. route of travels

3 and 4 are not necessary but would be great

Any suggestions please? Reaching out as I've been overwhelmed in trying to research the idea I'm hoping somebody has done similar before
