I’ve been working with WordPress for a few months now and am perpetually getting stuck at about 80% of what I want for a site (blog with integrated community forum).
I’m not a developer and am reaching a point where I need the site built so I can actually start using it.
I don’t have a budget for a local person (I’m in an expensive part of the US) and am considering the Fiverr, Upwork, etc route to try and find someone.
What are some good tips for hiring via sites like this? The site is currently built in LocalWP so I have a “prototype” to at least work with.
Do I just move it to a host and then put up a post on one of the above sites with a list of tasks and have them pitch me a budget?

I’d recommend codeable.io as they specialize in WordPress. It won’t be Fiverr prices though…but you get what you pay for there.
You’ll setup a test site or prod site or whatever…but you better have backups…so you can just kick them out easy if something goes wrong and it’s not a big deal. Goodluck!
