I am trying to change the default Attachment Display Settings for images shared through my WordPress installation from Medium to Large.
I have carefully followed the instructions on this page:

When I check the ‘wp-admin/options.php’ page, I can clearly see that ‘image\_default\_size’ has now been set to Large.
But it doesn’t seem to make a difference to the default Attachment Display Settings when I attempt to add an image to a post, which still comes up as Medium.
I’m losing my mind over this simple issue. Can anybody assist?
