Want to change the Invoice Number of old invoices

Updates to the invoice number formats are reflected on newly generated documents.

If you want your old invoices to have the new numbers, you would need to use the number tools via PDF Invoices > Advanced > Tools > Numbers. This process is irreversible, so be careful.

Here’s a quick run down on it’s use:

1. Enter the next invoice number under WooCommerce > PDF invoices > Documents > Invoice > Next invoice number: This will be used to start renumbering the documents from this value:

   

2. Go to WooCommerce > PDF invoices > Advanced > Settings, and enable the danger zone tools (the option is at the bottom):

   

3. Click on the Tools tab in this section, and find the Renumber existing documents tool:

   

4. Select the Document type (e.g. the invoice), the From and To dates, and finally click on the Renumber documents button: The tool will start regenerating the document numbers based on the next invoice number.
