When updating/creating new product, should I create a new product page or just update the old one?

For example: Model A is being replaced with Model B. Should I just delete Model A from the website and create a new page/add new product for Model B? Is there any benefit to SEO or keeping page that has existed for a few years and just changing the name/photos?
