Wordfence – these IPs were blocked for various reasons but what does it mean?

[ad_1]

Wordfence regularly blocks attacks on my website (we’re talking several per day, for this month there were over 200 attacks), which always surprises me as it’s a tiny website that no one knows about. Usually the attackers are blocked for using wrong password/login, or “Known malicious User-Agents”. In the past 2 weeks new reasons starting to appear, such as malicious file uploads or “XSS: Cross Site Scripting”, and the ones shown on the screenshot. What does this mean? Do I need to be worried?

  1. That’s normal and nothing to worry about.

And it’s bots, not humans, looking to use your site to serve ads and join a botnet, it has nothing to do with your sites size/traffic.
