  1. You really shouldnt. There are too many dependancies on the path /wp-admin and you will break functionality.

  2. *can*…yes. But *should*, noooooo. It’s not arbitrary like a permalink, it’s a hard path to the wp-admin/* directory.

  3. There is no easy way to do that without breaking a lot of functionality, and you really shouldn’t change it anyway, because it is utterly pointless to do so. Literally, there is no reason to do that, at all.

  4. “oh, but it’ll stop hackers/ anyone knowing I use wordpress”
    err .. no.

It’ll cause a lot of hassle for absolute zero return.

If you want something shorter you can simply type [domain.com/admin](http://domain.com/admin)

  5. Is your concern security? If so, see the other accurate responses.

Is it convenience? Create a redirect from /administrator to wp-login.php I suppose.

  6. Let it be. Let it be. Let it be, oh, let it be. Speak these words of wisdom and let it beeeeeeeee.

  7. Instead remove all the admin user named admin and change the admin user ID from 1 to something else.
