Hello!
I want to create my first website and cant spend much money on my small hobby website. I own a google domain and my plan was to buy a theme from specific site that suits my needs. So i picked a theme and wanted to buy it. And i only can install it with the upload custom theme feature on wordpress. Then i realized i need the business subscription wich is about 300€ a year. Wich is waaay out of my budget for me. ( i will probably have 20 viewers a month on my site)
So my question now is. If i buy the Template and the wordpress Business subscription for one month, wich is about 40€ can i still use my uploaded template if i switch my subscription to the lowest one possible?

Maybe you want to be using WordPress.org instead of com. Then you don’t need to be spending money on any subscriptions

As you already have the domain name, you only need to buy the hosting. With a hobby level need you can go for an inexpensive, perhaps less regarded, host. For example, HostGator’s most basic plan starts at under $3/month if you buy a 3 year term. Their next plan starts at $3.50/month and allows more than one website. After the end of the first term their prices go up quite a bit – these are discounted 65-75%. ( I have been using Hostgator for my own site, as well as others, for many years. Their OK, but not perfect.)
My usual take is to not buy a theme at all. There are many excellent themes available for free and many plugins similarly for free. So, you could go with the cost of the domain name and the hosting and not spend anything further.
