Are Web Hosting Companies Responsible for the Security of WordPress Websites?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been pondering over something and thought I’d reach out to gather some opinions. We all know that web hosting companies should ensure the security of the infrastructure where WordPress websites are hosted. But what about the security of the websites themselves?

Do you believe hosting companies should also be responsible for ensuring the security of the WordPress websites hosted on their infrastructure? Or do you think it’s solely the website owner’s responsibility?

  2. No, it’s not the hosts responsibility, and never will be. Cloudflare does with DDoS and OWASP protection, but at the end of the day, running insecure plugins will always be up to the site owner.
