failed-scheduled-actions ~ Unable to change subscription status to “on-hold”

Hi,

I encountered a problem with WooCommerce Subscribtions plugin.

In the dashboard I got this alert:

An error has occurred while processing recent subscription related events. For steps on how to fix the affected subscriptions and to learn more about the possible causes of this error, please read our guide here.

Affected events:
subscription payment for #17403
subscription payment for #17426
To see further details about these errors, view the failed-scheduled-actions log file from the WooCommerce logs screen.

Looking at the logs, I found:

08-02-2022 @ 12:16:16 – scheduled action 64896 (subscription payment) failed to finish processing due to the following exception: Unable to change subscription status to “on-hold”.
08-02-2022 @ 12:16:16 – action args: subscription_id: 17426

The documentaition page – https://woocommerce.com/document/scheduled-action-errors/ – wasn’t very helpful. Couldn’t figure out how to fix it and/or avoid in future.
