I need opinions on PageBuilders/Toolboxes like WiX

[ad_1]

Hi, I am a part-time WordPress developer/page builder that is thinks about making more living out of the business than my day job. I am working with some small agencies which now tend to go more and more in the direction of selling smaller pages using pagebuilders/toolboxes like WiX or Ionos and shoving customers away from WordPress.
It is not that they aren’t happy with my work (or at least they don’t tell it honestly to me 🙂 ) but they want to get more share for themselves by selling pages for cheap.

After a while they come and look for features, that are not available in these toolboxes (don‘t know the right english word for „Webseiten-Baukasten“) or their clients complain about the need to pay min. 15€/mo for hosting these pages and are locked-in.

Maybe stupid to ask here, but should I put some focus on these toolbox-things like WiX or Ionos pagebuilder? Better for me would be having good arguments pro WordPress and against these builders and maybe a recommendation on how to grow business without the agencies. Or is it just a local trend around my area in southern germany?

Any hints, tips recommendations are appreciated.
