Museum help…

[ad_1]

I’ll try to be as brief as possible. I work at a museum, and our ticketing system is garbage.

I’d like to build a new system, that has more than just tickets, but I’ll focus on the ticket system here. I keep saying tickets, but it’s more than that. I want a post for every exhibit in the museum, with info about the assets, types of computers running it, etc. I want the floor staff to be able to bring up that specific page if the exhibit’s not working and click on a button that does 2 things, first it pops up a text box where they can describe the issue, and second, it adds a banner to the top saying that we are aware of the problem, no need to re-report it (but feel free to add details in the comments).

I also want a page that lists all of the exhibits that have the “reported” flag. This way I can come in in the morning, check the dashboard-like page, and go work on, or assign, the damaged exhibits. I can then (and only me and my team) remove the flag.

I’ve tried a bunch of different plugins, but nothing seems to be hitting right, or my Google-fu is lacking. ChatGPT says to build my own, but I’s rather not dust off my php coding skills that stopped around php4.
