This site has gotten buggy in the back end and is not working well with WP Rocket and the like. Currently runs with Visual Composer. Current theme is Salient. My hope is to replicate the look and functionality with Divi or Elementor. Key requirement is cross browser functionality and load speed. I’d like to clone the site in a way that the site map stays the same and most the content is populated without formatting issues into the new theme. Any recommendations to do this as smoothly as possible?

Moving between different page builders means you need to rebuild the pages from scratch – page builders aren’t compatible with each other.
What does “site has gotten buggy in the back end” mean exactly? Have you been keeping up to date with Salient updates? You not only need to update Salient, but also its components (Appearance > Install Plugins)
I have sites using both Salient and Divi. What is Salient doing? Might be a conflict with a plugin, or updates are needed. If up to date, deactivate plugins and see if it works as expected. You could also DL Query Monitor and see what it shows.
