I installed Koko a couple of days back, and it’s reporting less traffic than GA. I’m roughly at 300 visitors per day according to GA and under 200 according to Koko. I’ve disabled admin sessions from both, so that’s not a cause for discrepancy.
I would have assumed that Koko would give a higher number since it’s locally running on the server, but that’s not the case here. Confused about which number to trust.

First, 200 or 300, later 5800 or 5700, 99999800 or 99999700 – there is not much difference. The trend is important, is it growing or not. Second, there is no better solution than GA. Unfortunately or not, that can be disputed, but no dispute in that they are the best. And finally, focus on making your website better and bringing traffic to it, rather than solving a ‘problem’ of difference in 100 visits, most of which are bots anyway at this level of traffic.
Use plausible.io it’s simple and straightforward. I’ve been using it on sites I’m managing for a while. You can connect your search console once you setup the tracking, that will give you info and what query led to the clicks.
