WPForms has Gmail on the Denylist, but stills sends forms filled out with Gmail address

I hope this is an appropriate place to ask this question. I created a form in WPForms on my site using the Avada theme. It has seven fields. First Name, Last Name, Email, couple of dropdowns. On the Email field, in the Field Options, under Advanced, I’ve added a Denylist of the following:
\*@yahoo.com
\*@msn.com
\*@hotmail.com
\*@gmail.com
\*@live.com
\*@edu
However, I’m still getting email notifications when someone completes the form that have Gmail addresses in them. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there something additional I should be doing?
